Richard Razza, CCIM, CFA, is a Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager at Webster Financial, a $73B commercial bank headquartered in Stamford, CT. He is responsible for managing the bank’s $7.5B Agency and Non-Agency commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) portfolios that include fixed and floating rate securities along with commercial real-estate (CRE) CLO’s. Rich is also responsible for the bank’s $2.75B Municipal Bond portfolio. Rich began his career in commercial real-estate at CIGNA in 1999 as a Structured Products Trading Assistant and then became an Analyst responsible for underwriting large commercial real estate loans for securitization. In 2006, Rich became a buy-side CMBS portfolio manager working as an Assistant Vice President at Hartford Investment Management Company, where he helped manage a CMBS portfolio totaling $18.0B at its peak. In 2009, Rich joined Webster Financial and since that time has grown the bank’s CMBS portfolio from $100MM to over $7.5B. He holds the Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and holds an MBA in Real Estate and Finance from the University of Connecticut. Rich is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Connecticut teaching three undergraduate courses: Fixed Income, Intro to Investments and Derivatives and Intro to Financial Management. Personally, Rich is married to his wife Angela and has two children, Julianna and Alessandra, and they live in Watertown, CT. His hobbies include golf and karate and he is a second-degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do.
